We spent our first non-unpacking, non-holiday, non-travelling, non-visitor weekend exploring our new city!
We packed the kids up and made it out the door in record time! We were on the road by 10:20 am and on our way to beautiful Sausalito, CA. Less than an hour from our front door is a picturesque sailing town right on the bay. It sits right across from downtown San Francsico and on a clear day you can see the skyline. The weather was 63 today and gorgeous!! We could see the city and Alcatrez. There were so many sailboats we couldn't count them all! Wonderful shops, cafes and beautiful homes, and to Emery's delight dogs of every breed. The village/city resembles a quaint Meditterranean town.
The kids loved running in the grass and walking along the bay. Evan enjoyed the rocks and Emery enjoyed attention from passerbys.
We took the scenic route home and stopped at Golden Gate National Recreational Area for some breathtaking photo ops! Truly a sight to see our beautiful new hometown from that vantage point!
Evan LOVED the red clay and smoothing the pebbles away...such a boy.
San Francisco from Sausalito
goofing around on the rocks...thinking he is going to catch a humpback whale?! hmmm...
Loving on some friends her size!
