May was Evan's last month at his preschool and we met a couple nice families while attending there. Both of which we had playdates wtih and plans to get together more this summer. Evan is also busy with activities this late spring and finishing up soccer session and just finished his first session of REAL swim lessons! I am so impressed by the progress he's made and the little fish he has become. Within 11 weeks (once a week lesson) he's learned to float on his front & back, push off and glide, glide with a kick and now starting to use his arms with kicking!!! He's a bit confident for my comfort, but he quickly learned when we went to the pool this weekend....and Emery did too hopefully. Emery likes the water but doesn't want anyone touching her. I let her "fall" off the steps since she insisted on bein Miss Independent, and it cured that for the day. We'll see how it goes this week! I'm not 100% comforatable taking htem to the pool alone since there isn't a wading pool, but we will go inthe evenings with Daddy this week and try it next week. I should be okay since I was a lifeguard and swim instructor but that was a looonnnnggg time ago! Evan started a sprint session this week so he will have lesson every day for 2 weeks.
We've enjoyed some visitors this month too! Lindsay and Ryan stopped in town on their way out to Napa and stayed a night with us. Alex and I loved the company and wished they had better weather for their trip. It was fun to catch up, even if only for a night! We love company so please let us know if you will be out our way!!

She wants nothing to do with me when he is home. I can't put her in her chair for dinner, she refuses my help, and wants nothing to do with me at bedtime. She wake up from every nap and morning screamingfor DAddy, and saiys NO when I come in. So, yes, I feel like chopped liver, but I'm also enjoying the ride while it lasts!! She loves shoes...her shoes, Evan's shoes, my shoes and of course Daddy's shoes. Mostly she loves wearing Evan's rain boots which are 4 sizes too big. With all the rain and cooler weather we've had recently, she's learned to enjoy the TV (finally, lol). She loves Sesame Street, especially Elmo. Other than that she doesn't watch much...guess she's like the rest of us...sick of Dino Dan, Transformers and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5! I miss Dora & Diego and Evan's past favorite Dinosaur Train :) Oh, well. Just so happy it's finally warm and we can be outisde all day!
So since I've been so far behind...here's a look at photos we've taken these last couple months! Enjoy
thanks Grandma for the best present ever!!!
