A HART-felt visit

Two days after we returned from Atlanta, we had some of our favorite people come visit us!! The Hart girls!  Kallie and Marissa overcame their fear of flying and we greeted them with huge posters at the airport!!

They came to celebrate Evan's 4th birthday!!  What a gift!

On Thursday, Kallie and Marissa took Evan to the movies to see Gnomeo & Juliet while Jill and I did some birthday shopping.  Emery and Alex stayed home for a nap after our lunch.  On Friday we all went to Super Franks which is like Chuck E Cheese but geared really for kids under 5.  We had pizza, played games and ate cake & cupcakes!   A perfect day for Evan.  The girls babysat while Alex, Jill and I had really good dinner in Livermore.  Since the weather wasn't the best...but at least there wasn't any snow..and it was above freezing so for these Minnesotans' it was warm enough to go to the Oakland Zoo.

They were expecting to fly back to Minnesota on Sunday, but Mother Nature said, "Nope, you get to miss school, work and hang out with the Sales for a few more days!"  To our delight, we took advantage of some extra time, despite the headaches Jill faced with the airlines.  We decided to venture to Half Moon Bay (site of the Mavericks surfing competitions).  It was a great day with a picnic lunch and just bumming around the town and watching the waves and kids play in the sand.  We didn't get to see the HUGE waves that are so popular there, but it was a great sightseeing trip!

Here are pictures from the weekend
