We are enjoying this favorite season of ours!! Football is full force, but our Austin HS Packers are having about as good of a season as the Dawgs. The weather is perfect! Southern Minnesota experienced some torrential rains last weekend and brought nearly 5 inches in one day and 3-4 the next. Needless to say, it was wet and the rivers/creeks flooded much of the area. Not as bad as 2008 or2004 floods, but a flood is a flood and it caused a lot of damage to the farmers and smaller businesses/residential areas. It also postponed openings of some fall activiites like the pumpkin patches. But last Sunday was 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky so we headed to Clear Lake, Iowa to a maze with the Johnsons. The boys had fun trying to get through it, Emery and I snuck out at the emergency exit and 1 hour 20 minutes everyone finished!
Getting ready for some football!! Good thing Austin & UGA have the same colors!!
Homecoming game (Josh's Senior Year)
This weekend we kicked off October at the Rose Creek Fall Festival. The night before we were at the football game and Evan's friend, Annalise, said she would be at the homecoming parade and game. We saw her and her family walk in and Evan insisted on finding her. We searched everywhere (including hte concession stand and potties!) He was devastated and didn't want to give up. I missed the homecoming court at halftime because we were searching for Miss Annalise. Evan cried when we left and was so sad...until.....
Saturday morning we planned on going to the festival and sure enough we parked, got everyone out, and up pulls Annalise!!! The two were glued together the whole time. They found pumpkins, ate pumpkin donuts, rode the horse carriage and played in the leaves. It was just so ironic that she was there! I couldn't get over it! By the way, the newspaper even snapped some photos and they are on the front page this morning!
Fall in Minnesota is also when the ice arrives at the arena. Kallie figure skates and asked Evan to come to a "Learn to Skate" session on Sunday. He was not happy about it and still reluctant when we laced up the skates. But Kallie as usual made him feel comfortable and whisked him off! He did great and even walked a few steps by himself!! Thanks Kallie, we had fun!!!
Not so sure!!!
He had fun, she had fun, and I am a proud mommy!!!!
WHAT'S COOKIN' GOOD LOOKIN' ??!!

Looks like you have been busy enjoying the fall weather! Davidson College's football colors are the same as Georgia's too :) It is nice because I can buy jewelry for super cheap at the local stores and can wear it for UGA games too.
The last picture of Emery's is precious :)
