I tried desperately to capture some sweet moments on Friday before the kids went to "school" for their Valentine's parties. I will forever cherish these photos b/c I can totally picture the same look on their faces when they are teenagers..."seriously Mom?"
I couldn't beleive all the goodies they brought home on Friday afternoon! We made treat bags for Evan's class and just gave boxes of chocolates to their teachers. I didn't expect Emery to come home with a bag full of goodies! She got a t-shirt, bib, teething ring and lots of candy too! I felt bad we didn't bring anything for the kids in her room...but I know for next time....she gave us an adorable valentine card --her footprints making a heart on a doilie! So cute!
Alex and I met up wiht our friends Konni & Jeremy for a nice dinner at City Cafe in Rochester! It was so great to sit through dinner with no kids interrupting...a rare event when we get together!!
The cutest valentine this morning...look at those baby blues!!!
I've been meaning to capture Evan's room lately. He's been collecting animal figurines since this summer (thanks to the Carley's!) Evan earned them for good behavior, good potty training and gifts from Grandma. We originally bought them as families so that he could have some concept of Mommy/Daddy/Baby thing when I was pregnant. Then he quickly discoverd dinosaurs (we have nearly 50) Thanks to Dinosaur Train on PBS we have all learned their real names. I love it when Evan combines two species like Triceradon....triceratops and a pterydon. You'd never know it wasn't a name...maybe it is ..who knows!
Just decided to look it up onWikipedia and it does exist...but it's a TRANSFORMER not a dinosaur!!Anyway, Evan keeps inventory of all his "guys". Each night before bed, he lines them up on his night stand and makes sure none are tipped over...they watch over him at night. I think it looks like some sort of "Noah's Ark" and then the random dinos chasing them. (Most of the dinosaurs have their own home in a case made special for dinosaurs)

We were going for the "Where's Waldo" effect....did it work?? :)
